Western Union Telegram to Mrs. Eugenia M, Keen whose son was listed as Missing In Action
The telegram reads: "The secretary of War desires me to express his deep regret that your son Second Lieutenant Eugene M. Keen has been reported Missing In Action since fourteenth June over New Guinea. If further details or other information are received you will be promptly notified. Ulio The Adjutant General."
On June 14, 1944 Keen was navigator aboard B-24J 42-73197 Missing In Action (MIA) over New Guinea.
