The standing crew members on July 28, 1945 were aboard B-24J "Taloa" 44-40716 that was hit by anti-aircraft fire and crashed with Piskor, Kirkpatrick and Allison killed in the crash. Bushfield, Molnar and Baumgartner captured as Prisoners Of War (POW) with Molnar and Baumgartner killed at Hiroshima by the atomic bomb.
