Aircraft History
Built by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation in San Diego. Constructors Number 5358. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24L-1-CO Liberator 44-41422. Ferried overseas via Hickam Field then across the Pacific to the South West Pacific Area (SWPA).

Wartime History
Assigned to the 13th Air Force (13th AF), 307th Bombardment Group (307th BG) "Long Rangers", 371st Bombardment Squadron (371st BS). No known nickname or nose art. When lost, engines serial numbers listed in MACR. Armed with .50 caliber machine guns makers and serial numbers unknown.

Mission History
On October 22, 1944 took off from Kornasoren Airfield on Noemfoor piloted by 2nd Lt. Gayle W. Kizer on a bombing mission. When this plane failed to return it was listed as Missing In Action (MIA).

Memorials
The entire crew was officially declared dead on March 9, 1946. All are memorialized at MAC on the tablets of the missing.

Kizer earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Cluster, posthumously. He also has a memorial marker at Riverside National Cemetery in section MA, site 8. Also, he has another memorial marker at Fairview Cemeter in Apache, OK at South Section, block 1204, lot 2.

Pritzker earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously. He also has a memorial marker at Peoria Hebrew Cemetery in West Peoria, IL.

Pfeiffer earned the Purple Heart, posthumously.

Kornblum earned the Air Medal with oak leaf cluster and Purple Heart with oak leaf cluster, posthuously.

Curletti earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Flood earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Foster earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Reynolds earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Dolenga earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.

Kahn earned the Air Medal and Purple Heart, posthumously.
