(Left to right) SSgt Edwin J. Wolf, SSgt James F. Goodwin, 2nd Lt. Thomas D. Harmon, Sgt Leonard D. Gunnells, Lt. Frederick O. Weiting and SSgt Bernard R. Coss. On April 9, 1943 the entire crew was aboard B-25D "Little Butch" 41-29964on a ferry flight bound for Belem Airfield (Belém) in Brazil and crashed southwest of Caux (Kaw), French Guiana (Guyana). The entire crew with the exception of Harmon were killed in the crash. Only 2nd Lt. Thomas D. Harmon managed to bail out and was later rescued and returned to duty.
