B-25D "Little Stinky" 41-30080 in flight over New Guinea
On December 22, 1943 damaged over Wewak and crashed north of the Ramu Valley in New Guinea. Afterwards, pilot 1st Lt. Edward E. Bailey survived the crash landing and treked in the jungle for ten days before he was found by Australian Army soliders and was rescued. The other four crew bailed out before the crash and remain listed as Missing In Action (MIA).
