Three B-25J Mitchells are attacking at low level. At the upper left is B-25J Mitchell 44-29270 with the right engine on fire and trailing smoke after being hit by anti-aircraft fire. The Japanese convoy Yumo 01 includes Kaibokan CD-36, Mikura, CH-21 with Kaibokan CD-69 under tow. In the foreground are ripples from strafing and a water spout from a bomb exploding off the stern of "destroyer" Kaibokan CD-36.
