The six crew members pictured are 2nd Lt Louis "Tad" W. Ford, 2nd Lt John H. Disbro, 2nd Lt Edward S. Ashley, Pfc Jack A. Roberts, Pfc Robert L. Long and Cpl. John E. Oclis. In the foreground are survival supplies including canteens of water, life vests and other equipment. The only crew member not pictured is Pfc William F. Loranger who took the photo using Ford's personal Brownie camera.
