Aircraft History Built by Nakajima during 1939. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 97 Carrier Attack Bomber Kanko / B5N1 Kate manufacture number 474. Wartime History Nothing is known about this aircraft, the fuel tank (only) was used as a replacement part in B5N2 Kate 5353 that was abandoned on Shumshu Island in the Kurile Islands at the end of the Pacific War. Wreckage During 2003, the fuel tank was recovered by the Hunt brothers. This fuel tank was transported to the United Kingdom and placed into storage.
