Delivered to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Beaufort Mark VIII serial number A9-197. Wartime History Assigned to No. 100 Squadron with code QH-? (single letter unknown). No known nickname or nose art. Mission History On February 25, 1943 took off from Gurney Field (No. 1 Strip) near Milne Bay piloted by F/O George B. Yuille on a sea search mission to the north. When this aircraft failed to return it was officially listed as Missing In Action (MIA). Memorial The entire crew was officially declared dead the day of the mission. All are memorialized at Bomana War Cemetery at the Port Moresby Memorial. Yuille at panel 9.
