Aircraft History Built by Commonwealth Aircraft Corporation, constructor number 843. Delivered to the RAAF in December 1942. Wartime Service On December 24, 1942 it was received by 2 OTU. On April 10, 1943 it was received by 83 Squadron at Strathpine. On April 30, 1943 it was received by 85 Squadron from 83 Squadron to replace their Buffalos. On March 14, 1944 it was received at 17 RSU for repairs; on 23/3/44 it was issued back to 85 Squadron where it continued with them going to 4 AD for an inspection and returning for the remainder of 1944; on 21/3/45 it was re-issued to 83 Squadron; on 18/9/45 it was sent to 7 AD for storage. Postwar On February 17, 1953 its engine was sold to American Aeronautics Corp for $91 and it appears that the airframe was sold to R.H. Grant Trading Co. for scrap around March 2, 1955.
