Aircraft History Built by Brewster Aeronautical Corporation as a model B.339-23. Constructors Number 379. This aircraft was intended for use by the Netherlands East Indies Air Force (NEIAF) and assigned NEIAF serial number B-3178 and painted in Dutch markings. Wartime History In Australia, assigned to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF). On August 14, 1942 assigned to the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as Buffalo serial number A51-10. On August 14, 1942 assigned to No. 25 Squadron. On May 25, 1943 assigned to No. 85 Squadron. On June 23, 1943 assigned to No. 24 Squadron. On July 9, 1942 returned to the U.S. Army Air Force and assigned to the 5th Air Force (5th AF) to Col. Young. Sometime afterwards, scrapped at Eagle Farm Airfield.
