Background
Th Douglas DC-3A model 1830-94 in U.S. Army Air Corps (USAAC) were designated the C-41 and C-41A.

Production

The C-41 was a single Douglas C-41 38-502. The C-41A was a single C-41A 40-070 supplied September 1939, powered by two Pratt & Whitney R-1830-21 radial piston engines 1,200 hp (895 kW) for use by the U.S. Secretary of War. The forward cabin was convertable into a sleeper configuration with upper windows similar to the DC-3B.
