Aircraft History Built by Douglas Aircraft Company. Constructors Number 14663. Manufacture Number 26108. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as C-47B-5-DK Dakota serial number 43-48847. Postwar, converted into a DC3-C Skyliner. On March 15, 2003 deemed airworthy. On November 17, 2016 registered as N231GB by California Machinery Services Inc. in Pasadena, CA. Nicknamed "Round Trip" in an olive drab oval atop a natural aluminum finish with the registration in black on the tail. On April 24, 2019 registered to Thomas M. Hanks of Carlsbad, CA.
