Aircraft History
Built by Douglas Aircraft Company. Constructors number unknown. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as C-47 Skytrain serial number unknown. Postwar, assigned to the Netherlands East Indies (NEI).

Wartime History
This C-47 force landed at Kornasoren Airfield (Yebrurro) on Noemfoor Island.

Wreckage
The fuselage remains in the village with the U.S. Star and bar making visible.

Elliott Smock visited the wreck in 2000:
"Local people say it came down in 1962 and is not a wartime wreck. This particular wreck is very accessible. The fuselage appears to be used as a store room today. There are many parts of the aircraft around the village including the fuel tanks, engine firewalls and undercarriage parts."
