Aircraft History
Built by Convair at San Diego in 1949. Construction number 75. Serial Number 75. This aircraft had a natural aluminum finish. Registered in the United States as NC90839.
This aircraft was the first of three Convairliners purchased by Pakistani Orient Airways and registered as AP-AEF. Flown to East Pakistan (Bangladesh) and used for passenger service during 1949-1955. Painted with a stripe down the fuselage at the window line and a white upper fuselage with "Orient Skyliner".
On the tail was the Pakistan flag and AP-AEF in black block letters on the rear fuselage. In 1955, absorbed into Pakistan International Airlines (PIA).
On October 17, 1959 sold to Fokker Aircraft and registered as PH-NPB.
