Aircraft History Built by Yokosuka. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 2 Carrier Recon-Dive Bomber Suisei / D5Y3 Model 33 (Judy) manufacture number 3957. Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). Tail 33 (S16). By January 1945, abandoned at Clark Field. Wreckage By late January 1945 captured by the U.S. Army at at Clark Field. This Judy was selected as the best model from which to build a flying example for testing, because it was not badly damaged nor badly souvenired. Rebuilt over several months by TAIU, it was stripped to all silver with tail code S16 applied. References Made In Japan...
