Aircraft History Built by Douglas as DC-2-112. Constructors Number 1286. Purchased by Eastern Airlines and registered in the United States as NC13736. Wartime History On March 30, 1941 impressed into service with the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) as DC-2 serial number A30-11 with radio call sign VH-CRE. Assigned to 1 SFTS, No. 34 Squadron, No. 36 Squadron and No. 37 Squadron. During October 1946 struck off charge. Display This DC-2 is painted in the markings of DC-2 "Uiver" PH-AJU and was displayed at Albury Airfield suspended off the ground as the centerpiece of the Uiver Memorial until late 2001. From 2002, the aircraft was parked on the side of the airport awaiting restoration.
