Aircraft History Built by Aichi at Watanabe Iron Works, estimated date of assembly August 1, 1942. True serial number 75. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 0 Reconnaissance Seaplane / E13A1 Reisen Shiki Sui Tei (Jake) manufacture number 575. Wartime History Assigned to an unknown Kōkūtai (Air Group). This Jake operated from Rekata Bay Seaplane Base. By August 1943 abandoned at Rekata Bay. Wreckage Sometime between September 1943–November 1943 a team of Americans from Technical Air Intelligence Unit (TAIU) visited Rekata Bay to study the abandoned Japanese airplane and seaplane wreckage in the area. This Rufe was investigated and the manufacture number noted. No tail code or markings were noted. The team estimated the Jake crashed or was abandoned on August 12, 1943. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
