Background
Designed and built by Republic. The F-84 Thunderjet the primary U.S. Air Force (USAF) primary strike aircraft used during the Korean War and flew 86,408 sorties and claimed 60% destroyed of all ground targets plus eight MiG fighters claims. This aircraft was capable of carrying a Mark 7 nuclear bomb and in flight refueling and was the first jet used by the Thunderbirds.
