Aircraft History
This aircraft is a new built replica Junkers F.13. Built by Rimowa during 2015 as a new built aircraft modeled on the Junkers F.13. Constructors Number 1.

Dieter Morszek, Rimowa president and CEO was an investor and advocate for the project that began in 2009 and spanned seven years of research and construction that totaled 12,000 hour to built this aircraft. Registered in Switzerland as HB-RIM.

This aircraft is powered by a Pratt & Whitney 450hp R-985 Wasp Junior and has seating for six (two pilots, four passengers) with leather interior finish. Owned by Rimowa, the aircraft has natural aluminum finish with a black painted cowling with "Junkers" in white on each side of the nose. The fuselage has "RIMOWA" painted in black inside a black oval with "The luggage with the groves" in black block letters and the registration HB-RIM below the left stabilizer with the Swiss flag. The upper left wing has "RIMOWA" painted in black inside a black oval. The upper right wing has "The luggage with the groves".

On September 16, 2016 this aircraft made a first flight in Switzerland flying from a grass runway. The flight was attended by Bernd Junkers, grandson of Hugo Junkers plus Dieter Morszek, Rimowa president and CEO and Hans-Walter Bender who flew as a passenger in a Junkers F.13 at age six during 1929. During November 2016 certified and delivered.
