John G. Marcil Catholic Central High School (CCHS) class of 1941
During World War II he served in the U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) as a crew member on subchaser PC-556 in the Mediterranean and as a crew member on LST-169 in the Pacific.
His Catholicon Yearbook 1941 page 71 inscription reads:
"Academic
St. Paul the Apostle, Troy
Half-laughing, half-serious,
Is tall, blond Jack;
Friendliness to everyone
He doesn't lack."
