Alfred E. Mahoney on the steps of Catholic Central High School off 8th Street in Troy, NY
Today, West Hall Building on the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute (RPI) campus. During World War II, Mahoney served in the U.S. Army in the 10th Mountain Division, 87th Mountain Infantry Regiment. During February 1946 he was honorably discharged with the rank of Master Sergeant (MSgt). He passed away June 2, 1995 at age 71.
