Ronald Charles Warren recovering in hospital at Jacquinot Bay
RNZAF Caption: "7685. Jacquinot Bay 8th Sept. 1945 NZ P.O.W W/O Warren at Jacquinot Bay (the only NZ P.O.W. found alive at Rabaul)."
Warren was the pilot F4U Corsair NZ5402 crashed June 21, 1945 and taken Prisoner Of War (POW) and survived captivity to be liberated at the end of the Pacific War.
