Grave of 1st Lt. Robert A. Alexander near Ropa Point on Kolombangara
The grave marker is a propeller blade from the September 30, 1943 crash his F4U Corsair.
The inscription on the propeller blade reads: "Bob Alexander - 1st LT. USMCR - Sept. 30, 1943". The grave was outlined with pieces of coral.
