Mission History
On September 15, 1943 took off from Fighter 1 on Guadalcanal piloted by Lt(jg) Alex J. Kostrazonsky on an escort mission and fighter sweep over Kahilli Airfield and Ballale Airfield. This Hellcat was lost (unclear if pilot bailed out or ditched) or the precise location.

Rescue
Afterwards, Kostrazonsky was rescued.
