G3M2 Nell wreckage abandoned at Tarawa Airfield
At the left is a wing pointed upward. At the right is the tail section of G3M2 Nell Tail 65. Many pieces of aluminum have been removed by U.S. personnel as souvenirs. In the foreground center is an American picking through the wreckage.
