G4M1 Betty front view ditched off Nugarba Island (Nugava, Paobau) in Nuguria Atoll
At the right under the raised left wing is a row boat with PT Boat crew member aboard. The fuselage has battle damage and the the dorsal hatch is open. The right propeller is visible at the far left with an American standing on the inner wing. Behind Enemy Lines page 211 caption: "A pancaked Betty sits half-submerged directly off Niguri Island [sic Niguri Atoll] in close proximity to two major Japanese bases Rabaul and Kavieng."
