Aichi H9A1 Type 2 Training Flying Boat
Technical Information

Background
The Aichi H9A1 Type 2 Training Flying Boat was never used beyond Japan. A photograph of Takuma Kōkūtai (Takuma Air Group) H9A1 has the tail marking タク-24 outside a large hangar. No other planes are visible. The tail marking identifies the Takuma Air Group. This flying boat was likely painted orange indiciating it was a trainer aircraft or experimental model.

Production
A total of 31 H9A1s were built, 28 put into service as trainers.
