Aircraft History Designed by Yokosuka. Delivered to the Imperial Japanese Navy (IJN) as Type 93 Intermediate Training Aircraft / K5Y1 Willow manufacture number unknown. Wartime History This K5Y1 operated in Netherlands East Indies (NEI). At the end of the Pacific War, acquired by the Dutch then Indonesian forces and used during the Indonesian National Revolution (Indonesian War of Independence). In Indonesian service the plane was known as Chureng. Display During the 1980s, displayed at the ABRI Satriamandala Museum (Satria Mandala Museum) (Indonesian National Armed Forces Museum) outdoors under a a pavilion. This plane is painted in Indonesian Air Force (IAF) markings with 62 on the rear fuselage and tail code TJ. The tail rudder was painted red and white. Since the early 2000s, moved to Museum Dirgantara Mandala Yogyakarta Indonesia (Indonesian Air Force Museum) and displayed indoors.
