Aircraft History
This one of four replica Ki-43 Oscars built by Texas Aircraft Factory and restored to fly with a Pratt & Whitney R-1830-92 engine.
This replica aircraft was reportedly restored from parts from four wrecks recovered from the Kuril Islands (unknown what parts, if any) and new manufactured parts. When completed, this aircraft was painted in the markings of Ki-43 Oscar 15267 assigned to the 54th Sentai that operated in China-Burma-India (CBI).
This aircraft is displayed at the Museum of Flight.
