Ki-46 Dinah 2783 parked at Jacquinot Bay Airfield
The aircraft is parked with the flaps partially extended. This Dinah is painted overall white with green surrender crosses. The tail has traces of the motif over painted with white. On the rear fuselage is a white vertical stripe, Hinomaru and green surrender cross. In the background is a flight line of parked aircraft including A6M5 Zero (No. 1) with cowl removed and cover over the engine with a pair of cots nearby, A6M5 Zero (No. 2) with cowl removed and cover over the engine. This are two of the three Zeros surrendered: A6M5 Zero 4043, A6M5 Zero 4379 or A6M5 Zero 4444. In the distance are two Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) Wirraways from No. 5 Squadron both with fuselage code "BF". Several fuel drums are visible used as parking markers or for refueling plus other airfield equipment. In the distance are buildings, power lines and beyond the tree line of the surrounding jungle.
