Aircraft History
Built by Mitsubishi, estimated assembly date late October 1943. Unknown if this aircraft was a reconnaissance version or assault version. Assigned to the Japanese Army Air Force (JAAF) to the 10th Sentai.

Wartime History
Assigned to the 10th Hiko Sentai (10th Flying Regiment). The tail had a white backward "S" motif of the Sentai. The rear fuselage had a white vertical stripe. This Sonia was abandoned at Hollandia Airfield.

Wreckage
During late April 1944, this Sonia was captured by the U.S. Army at Hollandia Airfield. This wreckage was heavily photographed by American personnel at Hollandia, and appears to have undergone some attempts at repair or disassembly.
