Ki-84 Frank 1446 on the flight deck of USS Long Island (CVE-1)
This Frank was stripped to bare aluminum finish with a black upper cowling and U.S. star and bar insignia on the wings and fuselage. Tail code S17 with "Allied Technical Intelligence Unit" with a red and white rudder outlined in red. The spinner and front edge of the engne cowl are red. The cockpit canopy is open and landing gear is tied down for the voyage across the Pacific to the United States.
