P-39N "Blazing Blonde" 42-18813 left side of the nose cockpit door nickname and nose art
At the center is the edge of the cockpit door with the "Blazing Blonde" nose art of a seated blonde woman wearing high heels, skirt, bra and bow in her hair. At the lower left is the top edge of the U.S. Army Air Force serial number stencil that reads: "U.S. Army Air Forces P-39N-5-BE Serial No. 42-18813". On July 6, 1944 took off piloted by 1st Lt. Gabriel J. Eggud armed with a bomb on a mission against Wewak and went Missing In Action (MIA).
