On the rear fuselage above the right engine exhaust stacks is the nickname "Betty" in a cursive style above is the rear cockpit and engine intake scoop. Forward of the cockpit door is a rectangle with pilot Lt. Eggud crew chief S/Sgt. Brown. On July 6, 1944 1st Lt. Gabriel J. Eggud took off piloting P-39N Airacobra 42-18813 armed with a bomb on a mission against Wewak and went Missing In Action (MIA).
