DPAA Investigation Team Visits East Sepik Province [Image 4 of 7]
DVIDS Caption:
"U.S. Marine Corps Capt. Justin Harty, assigned to the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA), and local villagers dig a test unit on a possible aircraft wreckage site in the East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea." The aircraft wreckage site was later confirmed to be P-39Q Airacobra 42-18813 pilot 1st Lt. Gabriel J. Eggud crashed July 6, 1944.
