DPAA Investigation Team Visits East Sepik Province [Image 2 of 7]
DVIDS Caption: "Nicole Rhoton, a historian with the Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency (DPAA) helps local villagers screen dirt from a possible aircraft wreckage site in the East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea."
The screening station is labled with green tape "19-2PG IT". The aircraft wreckage site was later confirmed to be P-39Q Airacobra 42-18813 pilot 1st Lt. Gabriel J. Eggud crashed July 6, 1944.
