DVIDS Caption:
"U.S. Marine Corps Staff Sgt. Danny Person, explosive ordnance disposal technician (EOD) digs a test unit on a possible aircraft wreckage site in the East Sepik Province, Papua New Guinea."
The aircraft wreckage site was later confirmed to be P-39Q Airacobra 42-18813 pilot 1st Lt. Gabriel J. Eggud crashed July 6, 1944.
