Wartime History
Assigned to the 11th Air Force.

Wreckage
Abandoned at Cold Bay Airfield.

Recovery
During 1987, recovered by Dick Odgers and sold to Don Brooks of Georgia. which is in flying status now after years of rebuilding.

Graeme McDermott adds:
"This P-40 is reported as 41-9705, but Charles Darby tells me that this serial belonged to a Vultee Valiant. It is thought the serial should be 41-5709 and possibly an RCAF aircraft from the Alaskan Squadrons; 111, 118 etc."
