P-40E Kittyhawk A29-92 crash site near Milne Bay
The fuselage has code "IW" and the Royal Australian Air Force (RAAF) roundel. The tail section is missing and the engine is broken off from the engine mount. On the left wing are two unidentified Australian Army soldiers from the 2/12 Battalion visiting the crash site.
