Aircraft History Built by Curtiss in Buffalo, New York. Constructors Number 30166. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as P-40N-15-CU Warhawk serial number 42-106404. Disassembled and shipped overseas as part of lend-lease. Wartime History Assigned to the Royal New Zealand Air Force (RNZAF) as P-40N Kittyhawk serial number NZ3203. On November 24, 1943 reassembled by No.1 Aircraft Depot at Hobsonville Airfield. During September 1944 assigned to 4 OTU (4 Operational Training Unit) at Ohakea Airfield. Postwar On March 2, 1948 sold to J. Larsen from Hamilton Airfield (Rukuhia). Restoration During the middle 1990s, the wings from this P-40 were used in the restoration of P-40E Warhawk 41-25158 (NZ 3009).
