Aircraft History
Built by Bell in Buffalo, New York. Assigned Royal Air Force (RAF) serial number AP375 and painted in a three-color camouflage scheme. Instead, delivered to the U.S. Army. Disassembled and shipped overseas to Australia and reassembled.
Wartime History
Assigned to an unknown unit, possibly assigned to the 35th Fighter Group, 41st Fighter Squadron. Aircraft number 75 was painted on the nose and tail. Nicknamed "One For The Road" painted in capital letters on the left side of the nose, a popular song at the time and a common term for your last drink in the bar. The spinner and tip of the tail were painted in yellow or white.
Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared.
