Aircraft History Postwar, owned by Grand Central Aircraft Company at Glendale, CA. During 1950-1955, assigned to Cal-Aero Technical Institute from 1950-1955. Restoration On October 23, 1971 (struck earth embankment) when landing during an air show at Point Mugu, CA. Afterwards, rebuilt at The Air Museum / Planes of Fame and returned to flying condition in 1976. Painted to represent P-47G 42-28487 tail code M-UN nicknamed "Spirit of Atlantic City NJ". Flying in air shows and displayed at the museum to this day. References Contribute
