P-47D Thunderbolt 42-27608 displayed vertically near the terminal at Girua Airport
On the upper surface of the left wing is the U.S. star and bar marking and traces of the olive drab paint on the upper wings that was upside down from 1944 until the early 1970s preserving the original paint.
