Assigned to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PB4Y-1 Liberator bureau number 31946. Wartime History Assigned to Bombing Squadron 108 (VB-108) and later Bombing Squadron 122 (VB-122). No known nickname or nose art. Fate On August 8, 1945 stricken from charge. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared. References Note, many published sources and some wartime records incorrectly list this bomber as lost on March 3, 1943 or March 5, 1943, both dates are in error.
