Aircraft History Built by Consolidated Aircraft Corporation at San Diego. Delivered to the U.S. Army Air Force (USAAF) as B-24D-15-CO serial number 41-24049. Assigned to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PB4Y-1 Liberator bureau number 31946. Assigned to VB-108 and later VB-122. No known nickname or nose art. On August 8, 1945 stricken from charge. Ultimate fate unknown, likely scrapped or otherwise disappeared. References Note, many published sources and some wartime records incorrectly give the date of loss as March 3, 1943 or March 5, 1943, both are in error.
