Wartime History Assigned to Bombing Squadron 104 (VB-104). Nicknamed "Jungle Fever". Squadron number 12 on the nose in black. Mission History On November 15, 1943 took off from Carney Field on Guadalcanal on a search mission over enemy territory. When this aircraft failed to return it was officially declared Missing In Action (MIA). Memorials The entire crew was officially declared dead on January 11, 1946. All are memorialized at the courts of the missing at National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (Punchbowl). Honey on court 3.
