Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as PB4Y-1 Liberator bureau number 32225. Wartime History Assigned to Bombing Squadron 115 (VB-115). No known squadron number, nickname or nose art. Mission History On May 5, 1944 took off from Nissan Airfield (Green Island) a combat mission. Over the target, hit by enemy gunfire and landed without brakes at at Nissan Airfield (Green Island) and sustained minor damage. Afterwards, repaired and returned to service.
