"A Martin PBM-5 Mariner is almost 100 ft deep underwater in at the south end of Lake Washington in Seattle, WA. In 2018, a collaborative survey took place to collect information on the wreck for the US Navy, to experiment with efficient 3D modeling in low-visibility conditions, and to help foster stewardship for Seattle’s submerged cultural heritage. In this case, Global Underwater Explorers (GUE) teamed up with a local underwater archaeologist to dive and map the wreck. Their efforts led to the group mapping other WWII-era aircraft in the area using 3D modeling technology."
