Aircraft History Built by Curtiss. Delivered to the U.S. Navy (USN) as SB2C Helldiver bureau number unknown. Mission History This Helldiver ditched or was dumped into the sea off Jupiter, Florida. Wreckage During December 2011, the largely intact plane was discovered by Randy Jordan / Emerald Charters who initially dove the wreck with a group of technical divers returned and documented it two days later. Identified by the wing shape, landing gear and engine as an SB2C Helldiver.
