Wreckage
During 2000, wreckage from this SBD was found by a group of local people. Afterwards, "Americans" carried the tail section out of the jungle, for display at Aore Resort.

Jean Claude Tranape visited during 2001:
"They do not know the story of this plane, but they said that it has a total of 4 planes crashed in the jungle. To day, only one plane was found because the jungle is very dense. The 3 others were not discovered. We will come back later."
